By Daily Herald report

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County is sponsoring a special event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 in Libertyville to promote recycling and celebrate America Recycles Day.

Visitors to the free event at the Lake County Division of Transportation facility, at Winchester Road and Milwaukee Avenue, will learn about what can be recycled in curbside bins and can drop-off items that won't be accepted curbside, such as personal documents and papers, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, C02 detectors, propane tanks, athletic shoes, household electronics like computers, televisions and small appliances, and latex paint.
