Arlington Hts. mayor in Saudi Arabia

Arlington Heights Village President Arlene Mulder is in Saudi Arabia for about a week as a guest of the Saudi government. She is part of the fourth delegation sent to the kingdom with the help of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Five mayors from around the U.S. are on the trip, which includes visits to the Saudi parliament, commission on terrorism, foreign ministry, students and faculty of a university, and the ministry of municipal and rural affairs.

In a story about a previous trip, the conference said the goal was to give U.S. mayors the opportunity to learn firsthand about several aspects of Saudi government and life.
