Drink pink

In tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month, Glenview House offers a $5 pink drink throughout October. The pink slipper is made of two parts Rose Courvoisier and four parts sparkling wine. Or try the “pink” appetizer: house-smoked Atlantic salmon, creme fraiche, fine herbs, fennel confit and lemon essence for $11. A portion of “pink” proceeds benefits the Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook.

The RAM competes

The RAM is looking for some top brew love with its two entries in the Great American Beer Festival under way this weekend in Denver, Colo. The two brews — the Bohemian Norm! and the Black H'Ops IPA — are currently on tap. The Bohemian Norm! is made from all-Czech ingredients with a faaz style of hops. Black H'Ops IPA is a dry-hopped, dark, malty ale.
