One injured in Naperville motorcycle accident

A female motorcyclist remained hospitalized in serious condition Thursday after striking a car that pulled out in front of her along Ogden Avenue in Naperville, authorities said.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was riding a 2002 Honda CBR motorcycle east approaching Wisconsin Street about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday when a car emerged from a private business driveway in the 900 block of east Ogden.

The motorcycle struck the left front corner of the 2002 Ford Excursion as it came into her lane of traffic, Naperville Sgt. Gregg Bell said.

The man driving the Ford, 52-year-old James M. Sisson of Glen Ellyn, was cited for failing to yield from a private drive, Bell said. He was not injured and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene.

Portions of Ogden Avenue were closed for roughly two hours as members of Naperville's traffic unit investigated.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call police at (630) 420-5285.
