Burlington Northern trains on the move again

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Line operating between Aurora and Chicago that has been delayed all morning due to a disabled freight train is on the move again, officials said.

However, in the aftermath of the hourlong delay, Metra has shut down numerous trains along the Murlington Northern service line, and are making others move express to and from the city, officials said.

Train number 1202, 1204, and 1205 are all operating express into the city in order to get schedules back on track. In addition, officials announced that 1201, 1205 and 1210 have been canceled.

All remaining trains will either make extra stops to pick up passengers or are operating behind schedule. The delays have resulted in some trains being delayed up to 60 minutes, officials said.
