Look past the lies about oil reserves

There was a time in the past when Sen. Joe Wilson called out President Obama for lying. I don’t believe our president’s penchant for that style of speaking has diminished.

In one of his talks recently, he said that we (America) have less than 2 percent of the oil reserves. Perhaps that is why the American public has been bamboozled. Perhaps that is why we are spending so much for our gallon of gasoline at our local station. Perhaps.

Per Professor Terry Lovell and the U.S. Geological Service, Study 40872, in available fossil fuel we have 1.324 trillion barrels of oil. That is more than Russia, Saudi Arabia, China and Canada combined. In addition to that we also have the largest in oil shale reserves, more than Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, Canada. In what is called the Green River Area per Congressional Geological Service. there is 1.5 to 1.8 trillion barrels of recoverable oil which per their study and our current consumption would last 900 years. In addition to that in what is called the Bocken field there is also a similar field. Please Mr. President tell me why are we still importing so much oil?

I began by saying that it appears Mr. Obama has a penchant for lying. A quote from Mr. Mychal Massie, Chairman of the National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives describes it better. “Nixon’s I am not a crook, and Clinton’s finger wagging as he told one of the most pathetic lies in presidential history, will be viewed as mere prevarications. Mr. Nixon and Mr. Clinton lied to save their backsides, Obama lies to cover his mistakes, to get his way. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement while America’s people go homeless and unemployed.
