Dining events: Smash-tastic burgers in Arlington

BlackFinn expands menu

There's more classic American fare to enjoy these days at BlackFinn American Saloon. Arlington Heights Smashburger opens

Smashburger in Arlington Heights is now open and serving its regional specialty: the Windy City Smashburger topped with layers of melted cheese, haystack onions, lettuce, tomato and Gulden's mustard on a pretzel bun. Gordon Biersch sees the light

Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant recently unveiled 10 new menu items that clock in at 575 calories or less. New eats include ahi salad served with light balsamic Italian dressing; margarita steak — a citrus-marinated New York strip grilled and served with seasonal vegetables and steamed rice; and the BBQ Chicken Flatbread made with chicken, corn, black beans, mozzarella and pepper jack cheese on a thin flatbread topped with BBQ ranch spinach salad.
