Saab gets bankruptcy protection

STOCKHOLM — A Swedish appeals court has approved cash-strapped car maker Saab's application for bankruptcy protection.

The Court of Appeal for western Sweden on Wednesday overturned a lower court's decision two weeks ago rejecting Saab's plans to receive protection from creditors while restructuring the company.
