Retired Chicago detective attacked by 4 women

An 80-year-old retired Chicago police detective is demanding justice after being sprayed with a disabling chemical and beaten by four women who jumped into his vehicle.

Wilbert Allen says he usually locks his car doors but didn’t Wednesday. That is when the women got into his car and demanded he drive to the Englewood neighborhood, where they dragged him from the vehicle. He said his attackers were teenagers, with maybe one in her 20s.

Allen says the women took his wallet, star and the cash in his pocket.

Allen was treated and released from Mercy Hospital late Wednesday.

Police say they continue to search for the women, adding they haven’t encountered a similar incident. Police say how the women got into Allen’s car is still being investigated.
