Lake County rangers get new contract
The Lake County Forest Preserve District board on Tuesday unanimously approved a new contract with the union representing its 10 ranger police officers. The four-year deal calls for annual 2-percent pay raises for the officers. Average salary among the rangers is $64,148, a district spokesman said. The starting salary is $55,366. No public discussion preceded the vote.
