Man dies after North Chicago shooting
A man was pronounced dead after a shooting Tuesday morning in North Chicago, authorities said.
There were no other victims in the shooting that happened about 11 a.m. on the 2500 block of 14th Street, North Chicago police said.
Lake County Coroner Artis Yancey said the man has not been identified yet but appears to be in his late 20s or early 30s. The man was taken to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed Wednesday, he added.
The shooting is under investigation, and no further information can be released at this time, police said.
