Gas/oil prices just don’t jibe
I would like to know why gas prices are increasing instead of decreasing. At $85 per barrel oil, the corresponding gas price for regular unleaded translates to around $3 per gallon. Recently, on St. Charles’ east side, gas went from $3.79 a gallon to $3.95 while oil slightly dipped in price.
Can someone at the Daily Herald investigate or tell us why prices have not decreased significantly?
