Four guitars stolen after Naperville concert

Four guitars were stolen from a country and western band from Nashville after the group played a Labor Day weekend concert in Naperville, police said.

Members of the Tyler Farr Band told police four electric guitars were stolen from their van. Police were summoned at 6:18 a.m. Sept. 5 to the Hotel Arista on the 2100 block of CityGate Lane, said Sgt. Gregg Bell of the Naperville Police Department.

The van was parked near a gravel parking lot near Ferry Road east of the hotel, and that a burglar had shattered the rear window to get in and steal the guitars, Bell said.

The stolen instruments were a Paul Reed Smith Custom 22, a Fender Telecaster custom, a Goldfish guitar and an electric-acoustic Martin Dreadnought, Bell said. Their estimated value is $5,100.

Anyone who has information or witnessed the burglary is asked to call Naperville police at (630) 420-6666.
