RV maker to open new factory in northern Indiana

LAGRANGE, Ind. — A recreation vehicle company says it will expand operations by opening a new factory in northern Indiana and potentially add up to 200 workers in the next few years.

Cruiser RV announced Friday it would lease a building in LaGrange and start a production line building lightweight travel trailers by the end of this year.

The company now has about 140 employees at its factory and headquarters in the nearby town of Howe.

Cruiser RV President Jeff Fought says the company is bursting at the seams in its current factory and that the new plant will allow it to expand its product offerings.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered the company $1.75 million in tax credits based on its hiring plans.
