Chicago Sky scouting report

Chicago Sky (14-15) at New York Liberty (16-13)

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Prudential Center, Newark, NJ

TV: Comcast CN100

Last time: On Sunday, the Sky beat the visiting Liberty 74-73.

Skinny: There is practically no margin for error as the Sky tries to secure the first playoff berth in franchise history with five games left. To be safe, the Sky needs to run the table, or darn near close. The Sky beat New York on Sunday, so confidence should be high. The Sky got a clutch three-pointer from Epiphanny Prince (10 points) with 31 seconds left, the difference maker as all-star guard Cappie Pondexter (14 points) missed a desperation shot in the final seconds. The Sky also got 17 points apiece from all-star center Sylvia Fowles and guard Erin Thorn. Fowles, who rolled up 14 rebounds and her 20th double-double of the season, was named the Eastern Conference player of the week Monday. Fowles leads the WNBA in double-doubles, as well as field goal percentage (59.4) and blocks (2.2 bpg). She’s second in rebounding (10.3 rpg) and minutes (34.6 mpg) and third in scoring (19.9 ppg).

Next: Indiana Fever at Sky, 5 p.m. Sunday
