Random kindness much appreciated

Too often these days random acts of kindness go unnoticed so I’d like to acknowledge this one.

While working on a bicycle that is going to be donated to a needy family, I encountered a broken off bolt that was going to make this extremely good bike useless unless fixed. I was aware of a business in Elk Grove Village that (among other things) is able to solve this problem.

I took the part to Scorpio Manufacturing Corp., and when I picked it up the next day, in conversation with the owner, I mentioned why I needed this fixed and that it would result in a bicycle going to someone who wouldn’t have one otherwise.

As I was getting ready to leave and asked what the bill was, Jim, the owner, refused to charge me anything for his work.

Thanks, Jim!
