Chicago Sky scouting report

Washington Mystics (5-21) at Chicago Sky (12-15)

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Allstate Arena

TV: Comcast CN100

Last time: On Tuesday, the Mystics lost to the visiting Los Angeles Sparks 86-82 and the Sky lost to the visiting Atlanta Dream 83-80.

Skinny: The Sky had a nightmarish finish against the Dream on Tuesday in a must-win game. Ten Sky turnovers in the fourth quarter allowed Atlanta to escape with a win and to pull 2 full games ahead of the Sky in in the race for the fourth and final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. The Sky, which had 25 turnovers, still has a chance to catch the Dream, but must defend home court this weekend against Washington and New York. The last time against Washington, the Sky was down by 1 point with 2.5 seconds left. Epiphanny Prince was fouled as she attempted a 3-point shot with 0.7 seconds left. She hit 2 free throws to lead the Sky to a dramatic victory. Center Sylvia Fowles is coming off a 20-point, 12-rebound performance against Atlanta. Reserves Shay Murphy and Cathrine Kraayeveld added 16 points and 13 points, respectively. Kraayeveld hit 3 of 4 three-pointers. The Mystics have lost six straight games.

Next: New York Liberty at Sky, 5 p.m. Sunday
