Antioch Taco Bell manager charged with molesting teen employee

A manager of Taco Bell in Antioch has been arrested on charges of molesting a 17-year-old female employee, Antioch Police said Wednesday.

Adolfo Sanchez, 38, of Trevor, Wis., is held on $150,000 bond in Lake County jail after being charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual abuse, Police Chief Craig Somerville said.

In addition, Somerville said the United States Department of Immigration is investigating to determine the status of Sanchez’ citizenship.

Somerville said detectives met with the female and her father at the Taco Bell restaurant on the 300 block of West Route 173, where the woman said she was sexually assaulted by Sanchez.

Police interviewed Sanchez and reviewed surveillance video, and on more than one occasion, it showed the 15-year employee inappropriately touched the female subordinate inside the manager’s office at the restaurant.

Sanchez was arrested, Somerville said, and taken to Lake County jail.

If found guilty of the most serious offense, Sanchez could be locked up to more than seven years in jail and be fined up to $25,000.
