• Anna Julia Gonzalez-Rosales, 25, of the 4700 block of Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows, was arrested around 5:10 p.m. Aug. 18 at Kohl's, 800 W. Dundee Road, and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took two pairs of sterling silver earrings and a sterling silver ring and hid them in her pockets. Value was estimated at $125. Her court date is Sept. 13.

• Christian Jensen, 18, and Aleksandr Bondarev, 18, both of the 500 block of South Cleveland, Arlington Heights, were arrested around 9:50 p.m. Aug. 21 and charged with criminal trespass after a witness heard footsteps on his apartment building roof on the 100 block of Campbell and saw them on the roof of the Dunton House restaurant, 11 W. Davis St., behind the apartment building. Their court date is Sept. 20. According to reports, the restaurant has an ongoing problem with individuals walking on the roof and damaging equipment up there.

• Vandals spray painted gang graffiti on a basketball court in Creekside Park, 4100 N. Schafer Road, Aug. 16 and on the walls of a pedestrian underpass at Davis and Bristol streets Aug 17.

• Vandals hurled an unknown object that put a baseball-sized hole in the outer pane of a double-pane living room window at a home on the 2300 block of North Verde between midnight and 2 a.m. Aug. 18.

• Burglars stole a GPS valued at $100 out of an unlocked 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van in a hotel lot at 441 W. Algonquin Road between 8 and 8:45 p.m. Aug. 16.

• Burglars stole loose change out of an unlocked 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at a home on the 900 block of South Burton Place between 2:20 and 2:28 a.m. Aug. 18. An officer saw two subjects walking away but they fled when the officer tried to stop them.

• Thieves stole the front driver's-side tire and rim from a 1999 Ford Expedition parked for sale in a store lot at 100 E. Algonquin Road between noon Aug. 17 and 6:45 p.m. Aug. 18.

• Thieves stole a refrigerator placed in the driveway for cleaning at a home on the 800 block of Happfield overnight Aug. 18-19. Value was estimated at $300.

• Burglars broke into a 2007 Ford Econoline van in a fitness center lot, 960 W. Dundee Road, between 6 and 7:10 a.m. Aug. 20 and stole a cellphone, wallet, and two power tools. Value was estimated at $1,200.

• Burglars stole a GPS and duffel bag out of a 1995 Acura Integra in an apartment lot on the 4200 block of North Bloomington between 5:40 p.m. Aug. 20 and 3:25 a.m. Aug. 21. Value was estimated at $125.

• Burglars broke a rear door window at Salon Bella, 117 W. Rand Road, around 1:10 a.m. Aug. 22 and ransacked desks. Nothing appeared to be missing. A burglar alarm sounded, but the offenders fled before officers arrived.
