The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights are just some of the high-flying performers who will take to the skies at the annual Chicago Air and Water Show along the lakefront, from Fullerton to Oak Street. Visit the Viking Ship

The public can get an up-close view of the Viking ship from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition at the Viking Visitor's Day open house at Good Templar Park, 528 East Side Drive, Geneva. View the inside of the ship, and learn about its voyage from Bergen, Norway, to the Columbian Exposition. Donations will be accepted to assist with the ship's repairs. 'Peace, Love and Lambs'

The ninth annual Naperville Wine Festival features more than 300 wines from across the globe. Outdoor Film Festival

The Friends of Ryerson Woods group invites the public to a free evening of art and film under the stars at the group's Outdoor Film Festival. The evening begins with a guided tour of the Art of Green group exhibition at the historic Brushwood home in Ryerson Woods, on Riverwoods Road, between Route 22 and Deerfield Road, Deerfield. Guests can then picnic on the grounds of Brushwood and see a screening of acclaimed short films with nature themes. Admission is free. Donations accepted.
