Enjoy music, wine at Long Grove Art Fest

The 23rd Annual Long Grove Art Fest will be Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20-21.

About 90 fine artists from across the country will showcase and sell their original works.

Fairgoers will have the opportunity to enjoy and purchase artwork in a variety of mediums, including acrylic, oil, watercolor, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, glass, photography, paper, wood, leather, metal and mixed media.

Artists are professionally juried and judged with cash awards. In addition to the artwork available for purchase, many of the artists take commissions and will make one-of-a-kind pieces for art enthusiasts.

Original works have a wide price range, ensuring there is something for everyone.

The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, also includes food, entertainment and wine tasting.

The fest is held in the Archer Parking Lot behind Enzo & Lucia Ristorante, 343 Old McHenry Road in downtown Long Grove. Admission is free and free parking is available in the Stempel Parking Lot.

Entertainment includes David Hiltebrand and Felipe Fraga at noon Saturday; Artbeat Live! at 3 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday; 7th Heaven at 3:30 p.m. Saturday; The Downhome Sophisticates at 1 p.m. Sunday; and Howard Levy’s Acoustic Express at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Food vendors include The Village Tavern, Timmy’s Sandwiches & Ice Cream, Smokin’ T’s Bar-B-Que, Sunset Foods and the Great Grape.

Wine sampling sponsors are Glunz Family Winery, Long Grove Cafe and Sunset Foods.
