Sarah Palin visits Ronald Reagan’s boyhood home

DIXON — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has greeted a small crowd at the boyhood home of President Ronald Reagan in northern Illinois.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee made a stop Saturday in Dixon as part of her “One Nation” bus tour. She signed autographs and posed for cellphone pictures.

The Sauk Valley Newspapers reports (bit.ly/qSmE5H) that Palin, her husband, Todd, and daughter, Piper, toured the house as part of the small city’s five-day festival celebrating Reagan, who died in 2004 at age 93.

Palin has kept quiet about her plans for a presidential run. She made a last-minute visit to the Iowa State Fair on Friday ahead of the Iowa Straw Poll.
