Veterans lacking what teachers have

Ken Kitzing’s July 23 letter to the editor, “No comparison of teachers, veterans,” missed a very important point. Veterans also do not have a well-entrenched labor union that protects their jobs, salaries and a wide variety of benefits that the rest of American workers can only dream about. Think about that next time you hear a whining teacher.
