Inquest set 5½ years after Ottawa woman's death

OTTAWA — The sister of an Ottawa mother of two who was found dead in a bathroom 5 1/2 years ago says a coroner's inquest is scheduled in the woman's death.

Katrina Gibbons tells The Times in Ottawa ( http://bit.ly/p1AbdL ) she has been notified of a coroner's inquest on Tuesday. The inquest could reveal an official cause of 32-year-old Tracy Lynn Cusick's January 2006 death.

When Cusick died authorities told her family she drowned in a toilet and reported no evidence of foul play or traumatic injury.

But police say Cusick's body was exhumed in October for forensic testing and evidence was uncovered. Cusick's case has remained open and active.

Gibbons says she is looking forward to finding "the truth about my sister's death, about what really happened in that house."
