Chicago Sky scouting report

Chicago Sky (10-12) at Connecticut Sun (13-7)

When: 6:30 p.m., today

Where: Mohegan Sun Arena

TV: ESPN3

Last time: On Sunday, the Sky defeated the visiting Indiana Fever 88-69; the Sun defeated the host Phoenix Mercury 96-95 in overtime.

Skinny: Both the Sky and the Sun are coming off major highs, thanks to a pair of big wins Sunday. The Sky took down Indiana, the No. 1 team in the Eastern Conference. That stopped a two-game skid and a seven-game losing streak to the Fever overall. Center Sylvia Fowles and guard Shay Murphy each scored 21 points for the Sky, while forward Cathrine Kraayeveld came off the bench to hit 4 of 6 three-pointers for 12 points. The Sun won in dramatic fashion in Phoenix when Tina Charles sank a 12-footer with five seconds left in overtime and the shot clock about to expire. The Sun got 28 points from guard Renee Montgomery and 27 points from forward Asjha Jones. Connecticut hasn’t had a home game since July 31 and has played three straight on the road. The Sun, which has won eight of its last 10 games, is 8-1 at home. The Sky is 2-8 on the road.

Next: Minnesota Lynx at Sky, 7:30 p.m., Friday
