Impressed with offerings at Arlington Hts. library

The Arlington Heights Senior Center forum presented  “What’s New at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library” July 19th.

The special treat was that Executive Director Paula Moore gave a one hour nonstop visual and oration along with answering questions during the hour. She visited before and after with the attendees; a “smile” is what first greets you. Her demeanor and attire meets both real and fictive aspects for the viewer as a true Librarian.

Among the facts as to what is available and how libraries are changing with the computer and digital world, she related we have a national five-star rated facility with 250 employees along with 220 volunteers.

She related the electronic books are replacing many books on the shelf; these are termed E-Books and content is available 24/7/365; wow! She related Library modifications are in constant change.

We should be pleased to have such a talented Librarian in charge. I thank Paula for taking time Out to visit our AHSC along with bringing us all up to date. Paula was indeed a special treat!
