Faulty thinking of the left

It’s seldom that one gets such a crystal clear view into the (non-) thinking of the left. One of those days came along, and boy is it a revelation.

Vern Lee has proposed a way to cut the budget and recommends that the Republicans take him up on it. Here’s how: Those on the right should turn down Social Security payments; opt out of Medicare/Medicaid; refuse payments/benefits, if applicable, from any federal, state or local government programs; refuse retirement benefits, again if applicable, from military service, etc.

Can you believe this? First, the left creates most of these costly programs, then they mandate enrollment and garnish wages to pay for it all. In time, they mismanage them to the point of bankruptcy, and then they want those who are upset with all the corruption and inefficiency to foot the bill for fixing it, too.

If that isn’t just about the best example of precisely how the liberal/progressive mind “works,” then I don’t know what is.
