Walldogs returning to Danville
DANVILLE — It's been a year since a group of mural artists made their way to Danville and painted the town with a series of murals. But the Walldogs are about to return.
The artists painted 15 downtown murals last year depicting local history and notable people and businesses. They're scheduled to start again on a smaller scale Thursday through Saturday.
Alicia Pettigrew of the local Danville Walldogs told The (Champaign) News-Gazette (http://bit.ly/r4vpcL) that two of the artists have repainted a local landmark rather than a mural. An A-7 Corsair jet that sits at a busy intersection got a new coat of paint.
The group only has two murals scheduled this year. But other events are planned.
