Lake forest preserve hosts Des Plaines River Trail ride

Bike riders can enjoy a leisurely, organized group ride on the Des Plaines River Trail’s south section on Aug. 20 hosted by the Lake County Forest Preserve District.

Riders should gather at the Old School Forest Preserve near Libertyville before the 9 a.m. start. The ride will last two hours.

Participants People should bring their own bikes, helmets and water. The fee for the adults-only event is $5 for Lake County residents or $7 for anyone else. To register, call (847) 968-321 or visit lcfpd.org.
