Disabled can tour Van Patten Woods in golf cart

People with physical disabilities can take a free cart tour of the Van Patten Woods forest preserve near Wadsworth on Aug. 14. The tour guide will talk about how officials turned the site, formerly a gravel pit, into a natural jewel. The event will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. To register, visit lcpfd.org or call (847) 968-3321.
