Cubs vs. Houston Astros at Wrigley Field
TV: Comcast SportsNet Friday and Saturday; WGN Sunday
Radio: WGN 720-AM
Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Carlos Zambrano (6-5) vs. Bud Norris (5-6) Friday at 1:20 p.m.; Randy Wells (1-3) vs. Wandy Rodriguez (6-6) Saturday at 12:05 p.m.; Matt Garza (4-7) vs. Jordan Lyles (0-5) Sunday at 1:20 p.m.
At a glance: This is a battle between the two worst teams in major-league baseball. The Cubs hold fifth place in the NL Central while the Astros are last. Hunter Pence, who might be on the trading block, leads the Astros in average, OBP, hits, homers and RBI. The Astros are 15th in the NL in walks taken while the Cubs are 16th. The two teams also hold down the bottom two spots in team ERA and quality starts. Figure the Cubs to load up on right-handed hitters against lefty Rodriguez. Jeff Baker is 7-for-14 with 2 doubles vs. Rodriguez. But Alfonso Soriano has not hit Rodriguez, going 3-for-29.
Next: Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park, Tuesday-Thursday
