Sky scouting report

Tulsa Shock (1-11) at Chicago Sky (6-7)

When: 11:30 a.m., Allstate Arena

Web: wnba.com, LiveAccess

Last time: On Sunday, the visiting Tulsa Shock lost to the Phoenix Mercury 102-63, and the visiting Sky lost to the New York Liberty 80-73.

Skinny: On paper, Tulsa seems like the perfect remedy to the Sky’s disappointing trip to New York. The Shock has won only one game this season, has lost six games in a row and is 0-6 on the road. On Friday, former Arkansas men’s coach Nolan Richardson, who took over as the head coach for the Shock when the franchise moved from Detroit to Tulsa last year, resigned from his post. Teresa Edwards, a former U.S. Olympian, took over and coached her first game for the Shock on Sunday, but the results were much the same. The Phoenix Mercury dominated the Shock, building a 32-point lead by halftime. The Shock is not without some intrigue, though. The team features former track star Marion Jones and WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes. The Sky will be trying to rebound after a disappointing performance in New York. The Sky was up by as many as 17 points but lost in the final minute when the Liberty hit back-to-back 3-pointers. Sylvia Fowles and Courtney Vandersloot each had 14 points for the Sky.

Next: Sky at Atlanta Dream, 6:30 p.m. Saturday
