Woman, 29, killed outside Dominican University

RIVER FOREST — Police in suburban Chicago are investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman who was shot in a parking lot near Dominican University in River Forest.

Authorities say Chervon Alexander of Chicago died of multiple gunshot wounds. Her death is the first homicide in River Forest since 2005. Police say they're not sure if she was a student.

Police say they took two men into custody after witnesses reported seeing their vehicle fleeing from the scene. No charges have been filed.
