It was a nice day, so Linda Zachman made good on her promise to ask the sewing club to help carry fabric to the new Linda Z's.

"The Fabric Brigade" accommodated with a line down Central Road in Arlington Heights on June 27.

The shop, which has been in the village for decades, moved just over a block to 1216 E. Central Road to gain more space, said Theresa Talbot, marketer for the company.

The club offers afternoon and evening meetings once a month for its 60 members. About half of them usually are able to come, said Talbot.

Linda Z's sells sewing machines, fabric, notions and accessories and gives classes, she said.
