Weis taking job with Chicago Crime Commission

CHICAGO — Former Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis has a new job.

The Chicago Crime Commission announced Tuesday that Weis is taking a position as the group's new deputy director. Weis is slated to appear at a news conference Wednesday to discuss his new role.

Weis is a former FBI agent who took over as Chicago's top cop in 2008. He resigned earlier this year when his contract came to an end.
