Chicago Sky scouting report
Washington Mystics (2-6) at Chicago Sky (4-6)
When: 7 p.m., today
Where: Allstate Arena
TV: Comcast CN100
Last time: On Sunday, the Mystics lost to the visiting Seattle Storm 73-63; on Friday, the Sky lost to the host Phoenix Mercury 97-84.
Skinny: It's probably best that the Sky is getting away from the West. After three straight games against Western Conference teams, the Sky is nursing a three-game losing streak. The skid includes 2 losses to the Phoenix Mercury and one to the San Antonio Silver Stars. There's good news on two fronts. The Sky is playing three of its next four games at home and has already beaten the Mystics. On June 11, the Sky got an 84-77 victory in Washington, thanks to 23 points from Sylvia Fowles, 20 from Epiphanny Prince and 19 from Cathrine Kraayeveld. Fowles was a bit shaken up in Friday's loss at Phoenix. She sprained her ankle in the second half but did return to the game. The Mystics have a more pressing injury concern. Leading scorer Crystal Langhorne sat out Sunday's loss to Seattle with back pain. Her replacement, rookie Victoria Dunlap, stepped in and scored a team-high 19 points.
Next: Atlanta Dream at Sky, 7 p.m., Saturday
