Libertyville car dealers help pay for fireworks

An association of car dealers in Libertyville is pitching in to help defray the costs of village fireworks on July 4. The Libertyville Mile of Cars, comprised of 12 dealerships, contributed $5,000 to toward the $15,000 total cost of the traditional display at Butler Lake Park. The Libertyville village band will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the band shell in advance of the fireworks show. “It is important to us to help the village continue this tradition,” said Glenn Bockwinkel, president of the dealer group.
