Classic Marx Brothers films now out on DVD

“The Marx Brothers”

Although there were five Marx Brothers, only four appeared in their early films: Chico, Harpo, Groucho and Zeppo. The brothers started on Broadway, and a couple of their shows became very funny films. Their films are considered comedy classics, and they will continue to make people laugh for generations. Five of their films are now available individually for $19.98 each. You can once again own “Duck Soup,” “Monkey Business,” “Horse Feathers,” “Animal Crackers” and “The Coconuts.”

“Sean Connery 007 Collection 2”

Although there have been a few actors who have portrayed secret agent James Bond, to many Sean Connery will always be the real 007. Three of his films are available in this six-disc set. Each one features state-of-the-art restoration and 5.1 DTS surround sound for the best audio and video available.

The collection, which retails for $24.98, features “Thunderball,” “You Only Live Twice” and “Diamonds Are Forever.”

“Sheryl Crow: Live at the Pantages Theater”

Sheryl Crow has sold millions of records and has loyal fans all over the world. In November of last year, she filmed a live concert at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. She has a great band, and the staging for the show lent itself to a terrific presentation on video. The songs included “Soak Up the Sun,” “Sign Your Name,” “If It Makes You Happy,” “My Favorite Mistake,” “All I Wanna Do” and more. Also included are sound checks for two songs that were not featured in the show.

“When They Were Young”

With the NBA Finals just concluding, you can now see where it all started for many NBA stars. It is a lot of fun to see many players as they were in high school, playing youth basketball and some going on to college. Many of these players are legends already, and we see some of the lessons that they learned on their way to stardom. Some of the players featured include Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, LeBron James and others.
