State projects in jeopardy?

These suburban construction projects are among those that could be halted if legislators don't approve a capital appropriations bill:

• Butterfield Road reconstruction and widening, from west of Route 59 to Naperville Road

• Route 83 improvements from Petite Lake Road to the Wisconsin border

• Improvements on Illinois 47 between Route 14 and Charles Road

• An $88 million major reconstruction of Illinois 59 from Route 126 to I-55

• A study of I-80 from Ridge Road to U.S. Route 30

• A preliminary engineering study of I-290

• A study of the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway west bypass

• A study of the U.S. 34 and CN Railroad crossing in Aurora

• A study of Route 176 to the intersection of routes 60 and 83 in Lake County

• A study of Willow Road from Waukegan Road to the Edens Expressway.

• All RTA capital commitments, including new Metra bi-level cars and new PACE buses
