Lisle Garden Gait tours private gardens

Ellen Berry designed her garden — featured on the Lisle Garden Gait — to include a cascading brook and 15-foot pond where water lilies and chow koi bring color. Her landscaping focuses on foliage and texture rather than blooms and blossoms.

Doug and Chere Hayes have earned the Conservation@Home distinction from the Conservation Foundation for their environmentally friendly native plants and water conservation. The yard, which also features three redwoods once thought extinct, is on the Lisle Garden Gait tour.
