Emanuel pleased with vote on casinos

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says he's pleased the Illinois Senate has approved legislation that will allow for a casino in the city.

On Tuesday the Senate approved tripling the number of gambling slots in the state. Now the legislation goes to Gov. Pat Quinn. Emanuel says the vote brings Chicago "one step closer to a significant victory for job creation and economic growth."

Emanuel says a Chicago casino would create between 7,000 to 10,000 jobs. He says it would "energize" Chicago's economy.
