"We felt the weather would continue to get better, which it did, but the jockeys felt otherwise," said Arlington Park general manager Tony Petrillo.

"We are deeply disappointed in their decision. We regret that our customers, owners and trainers were inconvenienced. We just want to move forward and focus on a great day of racing tomorrow."

Racing at Arlington Park will resume Monday at 1 p.m. for a special Memorial Day holiday card.
