ź A 3.5 carat heart shaped diamond engagement ring with six diamond baguettes, valued at more than $10,000, was stolen between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday from the 4N100 block of Arbor Creek Road near St. Charles, according to a police report.
ź At least 25 brass vases were stolen between 7 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday from the River Hills Memorial Cemetery, 1650 S. River St., near Batavia, police said.
ź Eddie R. Edlemon Jr., 387, of the 1200 block of Church Road, Aurora, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, failure to yield and no insurance at 12:56 a.m. Saturday after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Union Street near Aurora, according to a police report.
ź Melissa A. Lorusso, 23, of the 4N800 block of Honey Hill Circle in Wayne, was charged May 17 with obstructing a peace officer. Police said they found Lorusso outside of the St. Charles police station yelling on her cellphone that police had given her purse to a man. After an argument with her boyfriend on the way home from the police station earlier, Lorusso decided to get out of the vehicle, according to a police report. Lorusso told police her boyfriend grabbed her purse and drove away, police said. Police drove Lorusso to her boyfriend’s house to ask about the purse. Lorusso then began yelling at her boyfriend’s parents, according to a police report. Police retrieved Lorusso’s wallet from the boyfriend’s mother who said the purse fell out of the car when Lorusso exited, police said. Lorusso told police that some of the contents of her wallet were stolen and refused to leave the house until her purse was returned, according to a police report. Police told her she had to leave and when she refused, she was arrested, police said.
ź A Geneva man was charged with allowing a minor to become intoxicated, at 12:18 a.m. Sunday. Trevor J. Cunningham, 21, of the 800 block of Samantha Circle, is accused of permitting a gathering of two or more people at his residence and knowing that one of them was younger than 21, not allowed to drink alcohol, and that the person had left his residence in an intoxicated condition, according to a police report. That person, Beau M.
