Neuqua Valley High student charged with hitting teacher

A Neuqua Valley High School student is in custody and charged for hitting an administrator or teacher Tuesday, officials said.

Cardierre A. Robinson, 17, of the 2500 block of Durango Lane, was charged after the attack occurred at about 11:25 a.m. Tuesday inside the school in the 2300 block of 95th St. in Naperville.

Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell said Robinson allegedly got into a fight that morning with another student in the cafeteria, then turned his anger on the administrator or teacher when that person tried to intervene.

The fighting was fists only, Bell said, and no weapons were involved. He added the adult was not injured.

Robinson, who is being charged as an adult, faces a felony charge of aggravated battery of a school employee, Bell said.
