At a glance: The Cubs were 2-5 against the Giants last year, 1-2 at Wrigley Field. Lefty Davis makes his 2011 debut Saturday as the Cubs play a rare Saturday night game. He pitched 3 Tuesday for Class AAA Iowa as he tries to come back from elbow flexor-tendon surgery and give the Cubs something in the No. 5 spot. The marquee matchup is Sunday with Zambrano and Lincecum. The defending world-champion Giants entered Thursday in a virtual tie for first place in the NL West with Colorado. The Giants have been getting it done with pitching — they went into Thursday fourth in the NL in ERA, at 3.18. Their offense was 12th in batting average and last in runs scored.
