Arlington Heights van fire ties up traffic

Part of Lake Cook Road near Wilke Road in Arlington Heights was shut down Friday after a van caught fire, officials said Saturday. Firefighters responded about 5:30 p.m. to the fully involved vehicle fire. Officials said the driver was not injured. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour. They were assisted by firefighters from Long Grove, who helped with water supply, fire officials said.
