Health briefs: Remembering loved ones

• The Annual Service of Remembrance, sponsored by CNS Home Health & Hospice, will hold a nondenominational memorial service for families who have lost a loved one in the last 12 months from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn.

Each family will be given a flower in celebration of their loved one's life. Everyone is welcome, including children. Refreshments will follow from 3 to 4 p.m. To RSVP, call (630) 933-7888.

• Edward Cancer Center is offering Camp Hope, a weeklong summer camp for children, ages 6 to 12, whose parent or loved one is living with cancer.

Two sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, June 20-24 and Aug. 1-5, at Edward Health & Fitness Center, 6600 S. Route 53 in Woodridge.

Campers take part in therapeutic breakout sessions, including arts and crafts, music therapy, martial arts, yoga and small group discussions, as well as traditional summer camp activities.

Tuition is paid for through donations to the Edward Foundation. Free child care is available before and after the camp from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. To register, call (630) 527-6363.
