Top honors for Rush DB Hall

Chicago Rush defensive back Vic Hall has been named Defensive Player of the Week, the AFL announced Tuesday.

Against the Cleveland Gladiators on Saturday, Hall had 10.5 tackles including a tackle for loss. Hall also intercepted Cleveland quarterback Kurt Rocco late in the first quarter and returned the pick for 30 yards.

“I cannot think of a more deserving player,” said Rush head coach Bob McMillen. “Hall has been a force on this defense.”

The rookie from the University of Virginia was briefly signed with the New York Jets and Bears before joining the Rush in 2011. Hall leads the Rush with 37.5 tackles through 4 games in the 2011 season. He also has 3 interceptions on the season with 5 pass breakups.
