Author urges ‘Smart’ vote for library board

I urge you to vote in the upcoming municipal elections. These elections will set the tone for many things in next few years. Especially how our money is spent and how our library strives to continue to be a vibrant part of our community.

I urge you to vote for Debbie Smart for library trustee. Debbie will be a fiscal conservative and help our library expand it’s outreach to the community. Consider the following endorsement and please vote for Debbie Smart.

Going forward, libraries will be the cornerstone of our efforts to keep people, especially young people, engaged in the art of reading. Debbie Smart should be at the forefront of that effort. I cannot think of a better person to serve on any one’s library board and endorse her without reservation.

Without a doubt, Debbie’s events in Arlington Heights rank among the very best. In fact, the crowds are large, well-informed and passionate about books.

When I arrive for one of Debbie’s events, the energy is palpable. People are bursting with questions and ideas. They just seem to connect with my books, and me, in a way I don’t typically see at other events.

Most, if not all of this, is due to Debbie — her organizational skills, passion and tireless energy. In an age where there are so many other mediums competing for people’s attention, it is really quite extraordinary.
