Park candidate forthright and direct

I write today in support of Catherine Galvin who is running for the Glen Ellyn park board. I first met Catherine at the park district’s dog park. I have found her to be energetic, enthusiastic, and informed about the many items we have discussed. Her comments are forthright and direct.

She has an independent view and does her homework on any subject she feels needs study. She has a keen understanding of budgets and is very frugal in spending. You will find Catherine to be well-informed about the park board’s actions since she has been attending faithfully the board meetings for the past two years.

She also started the Glen Ellyn Park Bench as a service providing up-to-date information and insight regarding the park district. As would be expected of any candidate, Catherine has immersed herself in understanding the workings of the park district as well as volunteering her time at many community events where she gathers public input on the district’s activities. She will make a great addition to the park board.
